Weymouth Town Council’s Community Networking Events Return in 2026
Weymouth Town Council is delighted to announce that its first Community Networking Event of 2026 takes place on Tuesday 20th January, 10.15am to 1pm in the Council Chamber, The New Town Hall, Commercial Road.
The free event is aimed at local voluntary and community groups, and like-minded individuals to come together, strengthen community contacts, learn from each other and share resources and experiences.
January’s event also provides an opportunity to meet Weymouth Town Council’s new Community Development Worker. Other topics on the day include a discussion on tackling child poverty in Weymouth, and attendees will also be invited to share their ideas to help set themes and shape future networking opportunities, as well as plenty of time for groups to network over a light lunch and refreshments.
Mayor of Weymouth, Cllr Caroline Nickinson said: “Weymouth Town Council’s community networking events are invaluable for local groups and organisations, providing a great space to get together and find out about all the fantastic work that goes on for the benefit of our communities. This is our first event for 2026, so if you are interested in coming along and play a part in shaping future networking events, we would love to see you on January 20th.”
Please book your space(s) and advise of any allergies/dietary requirements by emailing communitydevelopment@weymouthtowncouncil.gov.uk
