Weymouth Town Council to host community groups at networking event
Weymouth Town Council is inviting local community and voluntary groups to a free networking event on Tuesday 22nd July at Tumbledown from 10.15am – 1pm.
This event is one in a series of networking opportunities hosted by the Town Council, which enable local groups and organisations to connect with others, make new contacts and learn about what is going on in the community.
This latest event is being held at Tumbledown, a great community asset which now includes the new Kestrel Barn building, featuring a teaching kitchen and classroom / community space.
Following refreshments and time to network, there will be an introduction to the work that goes on at Tumbledown, as well as being able to take a look around Kestrel Barn. Attendees are then invited to join in with a growing activity (weather permitting). A light lunch will be provided to round off the event, with more time to network.
Mayor of Weymouth, Cllr Caroline Nickinson said: “The Community Networking Events organised and hosted by Weymouth Town Council offer a fantastic opportunity for local groups to come together, share resources, raise awareness and learn from each other.
“Tumbledown is such a wonderful place and a real asset for our community in Weymouth. The new building will allow even more people to experience this unique space, and it will be great to open the doors to all those attending this networking event.”
Please book your space(s) and advise of any allergies/dietary requirements by emailing Weymouth Town Council’s Community Development Officer: charlotteemery@weymouthtowncouncil.gov.uk
