Free community events announced for 2024!
Weymouth Town Council is organising a number of free community events to bring people together in the town, with the first one in Littlemoor on Wednesday 3rd April.
Littlemoor Springtime Community Day is the first of four free community events that Weymouth Town Council is organising this year. The event will be held at Littlemoor Top Club, Louviers Road between 11am and 2pm during the school holidays on Wednesday 3rd April.
There will be arts and crafts for children along with a children’s ride and games. Houseworks Dorset CIC will be bringing their photographic exhibition, “My Place, My Space” to the event. They are a community engagement service supporting families, young people and adults to thrive through creative practices, workshops and events.
Top Club’s Cafe will also be open for refreshments during the event and there will be information stands and activities for all the family to enjoy.
Chair of Environment and Services Committee, Cllr Ryan Hope said: “Weymouth Town Council is bringing back its range of free community events for families and residents to enjoy this spring and summer.
“It’s great to be able to provide these events for children and their families and we look forward to welcoming everyone at the first event this April. No need to book, just turn up on the day and enjoy the free activities.”
There will be two more free community events this summer on Tuesday 6th August at Links Road, Westham and Wednesday 28th August at Wyke Gardens, Portland Road. A further event in the autumn will also take place and the Town Council will announce further details in due course.
