Community groups offered seafront promotion at Community Expo
Weymouth Town Council is preparing for the return of the Community Expo, which will take place on Saturday 17th May at 11am – 2pm at the town’s iconic Jubilee Clock on the beautiful seafront.
As well as a variety of stalls showcasing the work of voluntary and community organisations who help various communities in Weymouth, community choirs are also set to perform.
Following the success of last year, the event will follow a similar format and be a twist on the Town Council’s annual meeting. During the day, you can find out more about the Council’s services and projects as well as hearing a short report from the Town Clerk to highlight the work of the Council over the past year.
Plus, you will be able to gain an insight into the wonderful work carried out by local voluntary and community groups. If you represent a local charity or community group and would like to be part of the free event by running a stall, Weymouth Town Council would love to hear from you.
A variety of community groups have signed up already, including:
- LiveWell Dorset
- Air 107.2
- Poppy Appeal
- Guide Dogs South West
- Wessex Water
- MV Freedom
- Good News For Everyone
- The Veterans Hub
- Age UK

Mayor of Weymouth, Cllr Jon Orrell, said: “Weymouth Town Council’s Community Expo provides a fantastic opportunity for the numerous voluntary, community and charitable organisations that operate in the town to showcase their valuable work.
It would be great to see as many members of the public as possible joining us at the drop-in event, which takes place at the iconic Jubilee Clock, to find out more about the great work that is happening in Weymouth for the benefit of the community. I would encourage local community groups who want to be involved to contact Charlotte, our Community Development Officer and make this year an event to remember!”
The event runs from 11am to 2pm on Saturday 17th May, with stalls located by the Jubilee Clock.
If your organisation would like a stall at the Community Expo 2025, please email charlotteemery@weymouthtowncouncil.gov.uk by midday on Friday 2nd May.
