Community Grants – Deadline Closing Soon

Weymouth Town Council is reminding local groups and charitable organisations that the next deadline to apply for a community grant is on Sunday 5th October.

Funding is currently available through the grants scheme to benefit organisations that work with communities in Weymouth and can be used to help fund new projects, equipment, events or training.

Some recent examples of funding awarded by Weymouth Town Council include Artwey who received £5,000 towards funding a number of arts projects as part of Crossing Different Paths. This is a creative celebration of Weymouth and Portland’s rich cultural diversity as part of Dorset Towns of Culture 2025.

St Edmunds Church were successful in applying for a grant of £1,634 to replace multiple tables within the church hall, which are used by various members of the community and are integral to supporting all types of events held there.

Application Deadline

A reminder that the next closing date for community grants between £500 to £5,000 is Sunday 5th October and successful applications will be confirmed at Finance and Governance Committee on Wednesday 5th November.

Weymouth Town Council also provides grants of up to £500 which can be applied for at any time.
