All you need to know about Weymouth Water Fest
Following a successful debut last year, Weymouth Water Fest is returning on Sunday 7th September from 11am to 2pm on Weymouth Beach. This free event is for Weymouth residents of all ages who want to increase their water confidence, have a go at some different water sports, and make use of the beautiful natural resource on the doorstep.
There will be a range of activities for people to try out, promising fun for all the family. Adventure 4 All will be offering taster sessions in kayaking and paddleboarding throughout the day (under 16’s to be accompanied by a parent/guardian), plus Revive Wild Sauna will be providing sauna taster sessions (over 16’s only), with sign-up sheets available for anybody interested in taking part.
Local sea swimming group, Weymouth Bluetits will be offering a group swim and will round of the event with a mass Hokey-Cokey in the sea!
Weymouth Surf Lifesaving Club will be leading sea safety sessions to help build up key skills and confidence in and around the water.
For anybody interested in beach yoga, two taster sessions are available during the day and for this activity, participants are advised to bring their own yoga mat or towel.
Weymouth’s famous Sandman will be leading a sandcastle demonstration, with people then invited to create their own masterpieces with help from a true professional!
There will also be live music throughout the day from Weymouth Ukuleleans, Weymouth Community Choir and Dorset Wrecks, whilst sea themed arts and crafts workshops are being offered by Artwey.

11.30am – 12pm: Sea safety session 1
12pm – 12.20pm: Beach Yoga session 1
12.15pm – 12.45pm: Weymouth Community Choir
12.45pm – 1.15pm: Sandcastle demonstration by the Sandman
1.05pm – 1.45pm: Dorset Wrecks
1.20pm – 1.40pm: Beach Yoga session 2
1.20pm – 1.50pm: Sea safety session 2
1.55pm: Hokey-Cokey in the sea led by Weymouth Bluetits

It’s aimed specifically at residents, both adults and young people, and provides a great opportunity to try out taster sessions of various water sports including, kayaking, sea swimming, and paddleboarding. I hope as many of you as possible can join us to enjoy yourselves at this splendid event.”
Weymouth Water Fest will be held in an area of the beach in front of the Beach Office by the RNLI flags. Beach matting is also in place. All other sections of the beach will be accessible as normal.
