Weymouth Town Council to host Community Networking Event
Weymouth Town Council is holding a community networking event on Tuesday 20th October in the Council Chamber at the New Town Hall, Commercial Road, from 10.15am – 1pm.
The event is the last in this year’s series of networking opportunities, which bring local voluntary and community groups and like-minded individuals together to share resources, strengthen community contacts and learn from each other.
With a theme of ‘looking back and moving forward’, attendees will be invited to revisit priorities and challenges highlighted at the beginning of the year to celebrate the progress that has been made and identify realistic, practical ways, or ‘quick wins’ to continue to move forwards for the benefit of the community.
The meeting will also give groups the chance to focus on their upcoming priorities for 2027, by discussing new ideas and initiatives for Weymouth.
Mayor of Weymouth, Cllr David Harris, said: “Weymouth is a town with a great sense of community spirit, with many groups, organisations and individuals carrying out such fantastic work for the benefit of local people.
“The networking events organised and hosted by The Town Council are a wonderful way for people to come together, strengthen contacts, share experiences and learn more about what is going on locally, which all helps to benefit the Weymouth community.”
Refreshments will be provided, and places can be booked via the Volunteer Centre Dorset booking system: Click here to secure your space.
Please contact communitydevelopment@weymouthtowncouncil.gov.uk if you have any questions about the event.
The date for the next community networking event is Tuesday 19th January 2027, and more details will be shared nearer the time.
