Weymouth Town Council celebrates Volunteers’ Week

Weymouth Town Council is proud to be joining in with National Volunteers’ Week, and are delighted to celebrate the wonderful people who make such valuable contributions to the town.

From the young people who give up their time to be representatives on Weymouth’s Youth Council, the various Friends groups working with the Council’s Greenspaces Team, and the volunteers at Tumbledown Community Growspace, to litter pickers who help keep our town clean and tidy, and the parade marshals who help with Armed Forces events, Weymouth Town Council would like to thank everyone for their valuable contributions to Weymouth communities.

Cllr David Harris, Mayor of Weymouth, said: “We are delighted to join in with Volunteers’ Week and we would like to say a big thank you to all the wonderful volunteers in Weymouth who give up their time to make such a valuable contribution to our town.

“For anyone looking to volunteer to lend a hand and make a difference to the local community, there are a range of opportunities available.”
