Save the date for the return of the Community Expo
Weymouth Town Council has announced the return of the Community Expo, which takes place on Saturday 16th May, 11am to 2pm at the town’s iconic Jubilee Clock on the seafront.
So far over 20 stands are booked to showcase the work of voluntary and community organisations who help various communities in Weymouth including Space Youth Project, the RSPB, Weymouth Food bank, Friends of Greenhill Gardens, Weymouth Street Pastors, Friendly Food club, DocBike Dorset, Love Dogs and many more. There is space for more and groups can contact communitydevelopment@weymouthtowncouncil.gov.uk to enquire about a pitch.
Cycling Without Age will be offering free rides to anyone who would like to experience their trikes. There will also be vintage/classic cars, a police car and a fire and rescue appliance.
Crowds will be entertained by three community choirs who will be performing at various times as well as a few other acts still to be confirmed.
As part of the event, the Annual Town Assembly will also be held at 1pm at the Jubilee Clock, where you can find out more about the Council’s services and projects, hear a short report from the Town Clerk to highlight the work of the Council over the past year and ask questions about the Council.
Mayor of Weymouth, Cllr Caroline Nickinson, said: “Weymouth Town Council’s Community Expo has grown over the years, providing a great opportunity to find out more about what’s going on across Weymouth.
“So, if you’re heading to the beach or planning to do a bit of shopping on Saturday 16th May, why not pop along to the Jubilee Clock and check out the Community Expo. As well as all the stands, we’ve got choirs and even a puppet making workshop, so there’s lots of activities to keep people entertained.”
Dorset Council’s first electric vehicle event, Go Electric! will also be on the prom on Saturday 16th May from 11am -3pm, where members of the public will be able to view a variety of electric vehicles, ask questions and learn about all things EV. You can find out more information here.
The Community Expo is a drop-in event which runs from 11am to 2pm on Saturday 16th May, with stalls located by the Jubilee Clock.
If your organisation would like a stall at the Community Expo 2026, please email communitydevelopment@weymouthtowncouncil.gov.uk by midday on Thursday 30th April.
