Mayor’s Christmas Fund recipients announced
A range of charitable organisations have benefitted from the Mayor’s Christmas Fund appeal, which this year has raised £415.
Mayor of Weymouth Cllr Caroline Nickinson announced the organisations to benefit include:
Weymouth Food Bank, Samaritans, Salvation Army, and Dorset Echo Toy Appeal.
Cllr Nickinson said: “I am delighted to announce that a total of £415 has been raised for the Mayor’s Christmas Fund and I would like to thank everyone who has donated, it really does mean a lot.
“This year, I have chosen four organisations to benefit, and the money will be divided equally between the Dorset Echo Toy Appeal, Weymouth Food Bank, and the local branches of the Salvation Army and the Samaritans. My thanks once again for the kind donations received which will help to spread some festive cheer at Christmas.”
