Mayor of Weymouth to hold Fundraiser for Weldmar Hospicecare
The Mayor of Weymouth, Cllr Caroline Nickinson is inviting residents to a 60s and 70s themed disco on Friday 10th April, in aid of the Mayor’s chosen charity Weldmar Hospicecare.
Tickets for the event at Weymouth’s Centenary Club are £10 and can be purchased on the Weldmar Hospicecare website.
The Mayor of Weymouth, Cllr Caroline Nickinson, said “I would urge you all please to come and support this worthwhile cause. Weldmar supports so many of our residents in this town. By holding a fun, 60s and 70s themed disco, I hope to raise as much money as possible to go towards my chosen charity.”
As well as the 60s and 70s disco, the evening will feature a raffle and fancy dress is optional, with prizes awarded for the best outfits.
Proceeds from the event, including ticket sales and the raffle, will be donated to Weldmar Hospicecare. Rathbones are sponsoring the event, and if other companies or organisations are interested in donating raffle prizes, they can contact mayor@weymouthtowncouncil.gov.uk
