Join the Family Fun Day at Tumbledown
Weymouth Town Council is holding a free family fun day at Tumbledown on Thursday 10th April between 10am and 1pm.
The day promises to bring fun for the whole family with a variety of activities from arts and crafts and a bird-themed trail to trying out the new orienteering course. Refreshments will be available to purchase, and guests will also have the chance to see the new building that has been built at the former farm on Radipole Lane.
Mayor of Weymouth, Cllr Jon Orrell, said: “Tumbledown is a great community asset which gives people the opportunity to experience the benefits of connecting with nature, learn new skills, meet other people and enhance wellbeing. I would encourage all to join in with the fun on 10th April and see all the wonderful things Tumbledown has to offer. Lots of fun activities for children to get involved with, including arts and crafts and a bird-themed trail around the site.”
Tumbledown is located on Radipole Lane in Southill, with signage in place. Please note that parking is limited on site, so people are encouraged to walk or cycle where possible. For more information on Tumbledown, visit the website.

Competition time!
As part of the Family Fun Day, Weymouth Town Council is launching a Dig for Victory inspired competition. The Council is inviting people to come along and take home a pot and some seeds to grow your own herbs. From rosemary, thyme, chives, or mint, we will be looking to see who can grow the best plants. Look out for Community Development Officer, Charlotte, who will be on hand to guide you through the competition.
