Join in with the fun at Tumbledown’s Family Spring Event

People of all ages are invited to enjoy a fun family event at Tumbledown Community Growspace on Friday 10th April from 10am – 1pm.

With an animal theme to the activities, there will plenty going on for everyone to get involved with, including crafts, games in the orchard, plus there will be a spring discovery trail set up around the site.

For anyone feeling creative, the workshop will be open offering woodworking sessions. There will also be Forest School activities for visitors to enjoy in the great outdoors.

Young budding chefs will have the chance to take part in cookery sessions in the kitchen, which can be booked on arrival. There will be a small charge for the cookery sessions and refreshments which will also be available to purchase.

Mayor of Weymouth, Cllr Caroline Nickinson, said: “Tumbledown Community Growspace is a fantastic community asset in Southill, and I would encourage people to come along to the Family Spring Event on Friday 10th April, which will be a great day out during the Easter holidays. With a fun animal theme, there will be a great variety of seasonal activities for all ages, including games, crafts and cooking, plus an opportunity to explore the site in the spring discovery trail.”

Tumbledown Community Growspace is located on Radipole Lane in Southill, with signage in place. Please note that parking is limited on site, so people are encouraged to walk or cycle where possible. For more information, visit the website
