Local charities and organisations can apply for grants of up to £350 to put on community picnics, flower shows, art projects, exhibitions or displays to celebrate the King’s Coronation.
A £3,500 grant pot is available to support charity, community groups, not for profit organisations and schools to celebrate the King’s Coronation in Weymouth. A maximum of £350 would be available to any one group to meet the costs of community events over the special bank holiday weekend (Saturday 6th, Sunday 7th and Monday 8th May 2023).
Chair of Services Committee, Cllr Ryan Hope, said: “Offering these grants will help local communities and residents come together to celebrate this wonderful event.
“Weymouth Town Council is keen to hear from organisations that are interested in holding events for their communities so we can help with funding to meet costs or purchase materials you might need.
