Applications open for free use of toilets to support local events

Would your event benefit from free use of Weymouth Town Council’s public toilets? If so, the Council would like to hear from you.

To support local events, Weymouth Town Council can give up to six free access days to its paid toilet facilities each year for events which generate valuable footfall for Weymouth.

The toilet facilities include Cove Street, The Swannery, and Overcombe.

Who is eligible to apply and what else do I need to know?

Only organisations that are charities or not for profit will be eligible to apply for this support.

It is the decision of the Environment and Services Committee whether to use all six free toilet access days or not.

By ‘year’, this refers to a calendar year.

If an event is cancelled, the free toilet access day can be reallocated for the same event if its rescheduled.

Free days not taken in one calendar year cannot be carried over to the next calendar year with no exceptions.

It is the responsibility of the event organiser to appropriately sign the free access to the facility on the day.

This offer cannot be used in conjunction with a Dorset Council free parking day.

How do I apply?

Please complete the following questions in the online form if you would like to apply for free access.

The deadline to apply is Monday 23rd March 2026. After the closing date, applications will be considered at an upcoming meeting of the Environment and Services Committee.

Good luck!
