Community Expo
Our annual Community Expo took place on Saturday 16th May from 11am to 2pm at the Jubilee Clock on the seafront. Thank you for coming along1
There were stands showcasing the work of a variety of voluntary and community organisations who help various communities in Weymouth, including Space Youth Project, the RSPB, Weymouth Food bank, Friends of Greenhill Gardens, Weymouth Street Pastors, Friendly Food club, DocBike Dorset, Love Dogs and many more
We also welcomed Cycling Without Age, who offered free rides to anyone who would like to experience their trikes. There were vintage/classic cars, and a police vehicle.
Entertainment was provided by local community choirs, including Weymouth Rock Choir.
As part of the event, the Annual Town Assembly was also held at 1pm at the Jubilee Clock, where you could find out more about the Council’s services and projects, hear a short report from the Town Clerk to highlight the work of the Council over the past year and ask questions about the Council.
