The unaudited 2025/26 Annual Governance Statement and Accounting Statements , which form section 1 and 2 of the Annual Governance and Accountability Return (AGAR), can be found below along with the Internal Audit Report.
Members of the public have the legal right to view the Council’s accounting records and supporting documents from Monday 29 June 2026 to Friday 7 August 2026 for the year ending 31 March 2026. You can view the full Notice of Public Rights via the link below.
Annual Return – Previous Years
Once the return has been approved by the External Auditor, the audited version is published on the Council’s website below.
The Annual Return includes the Annual Governance Statement and Accounting Statements which have been subject to both Internal and External Audit. The Internal Audit was performed by the internal auditors who are appointed each year and the External Audit was performed by BDO LLP. The External Auditor’s Report and Certificate form part of the Annual Return.
