Still time to give views in Community Survey
There is still time to give your views in the Community Survey being run by Weymouth Town Council as the deadline to comment is Sunday 1st March.
And if you have some time to spare, the Town Council is urging residents to have a say on services ranging from events like Armed Forces Weekend, the town’s parks and gardens, the beach and promenade area, to toilets and play facilities across the town.
Questions on whether residents know who their Councillor is and how to contact them, customer services, how people prefer to receive news and information about the work of the Council, to the support provided to the local community are also being asked.
The survey does not cover housing, highways, planning, bin collections, schools, social care, libraries, benefits, car parks or parking as these services are provided by Dorset Council.
As a thank you for taking part, entrants will be given the option to be entered into a prize draw with the chance to win a £100 high street shopping voucher.
Cllr David Harris, Leader of Weymouth Town Council, said: “This is a great opportunity for Weymouth Town Council to gain insights on its services, and what is important to residents in different communities.
“It’s vital that we hear from as many voices as possible throughout Weymouth, so that we can continue to build on the strengths of our community-focused town.
“If you can’t access the Community Survey online, there are other ways to complete it. You can request a paper version at The New Town Hall on Commercial Road, or find copies available at libraries including Weymouth Central, Littlemoor, and Wyke Regis.
“Once the deadline for completing the survey has passed, the prize draw to win the £100 shopping voucher will take place, so please make sure you have your say.”
