Weymouth Town Council to host final community networking event of 2025
Weymouth Town Council’s next community networking event takes place on Tuesday 14th October at the New Town Hall from 10.15am – 1pm. Local voluntary and community groups are warmly invited to this free event, which is the last in the series of networking opportunities hosted by the Town Council in 2025.
The networking events provide a valuable space for local groups to get together and find out about what is going on in Weymouth. The different themes for this year’s events have seen groups learn about event management, a “soapbox” where individuals and organisations delivered short presentations about their work, and a chance to explore the new community facilities at Tumbledown.
For the last event of the year, on October 14th, there will be presentations from guest speakers, including the Volunteer Centre Dorset as well as an update on new family hubs in Weymouth from Dorset Council. Following this, individuals will have the opportunity to share their thoughts on what they would like to see at future events in 2026.
Mayor of Weymouth, Cllr Caroline Nickinson said: “This year’s programme of community networking events, organised and hosted by Weymouth Town Council, have been a huge success, with many groups benefiting from the opportunities these friendly get-togethers provide. Weymouth has a thriving community, and it is great to see so many people coming along to share resources, learn from each other and raise awareness about the wonderful work that goes on here.”
A light lunch will be provided to round off the event, with more time to network.
