Awards & Recognition for Weymouth Beach

Weymouth is a multi award-winning town which is recognised as being one of the top destinations in the country. The hard work of staff and local businesses means that our town regularly receives recognition for its excellent beach, parks and town centre.

Weymouth Beach is one of the winners of the prestigious Seaside Awards for summer 2025, which are presented to the best beaches in England and celebrate the quality and diversity of the coastline.

The Seaside Awards are aimed at improving the quality of England’s coastline and promoting the country’s best beaches, celebrating the quality and diversity of the coast. 

Among the criteria beaches are assessed against are: 

• Safety and services, such as first aid, lifeguards where necessary 
• Environmental information including displaying details about local eco systems 
• Environmental management, including litter and waste.
