Benches and Memorialisation

We are responsible for the maintenance of the majority of benches located in the boundary of Weymouth. Benches should be fit for purpose; if a bench becomes unsafe then it will be removed. An application can then be made to have a new bench installed, but it is not our responsibility to replace a bench.

Memorialised benches

When there is availability, you can apply for a memorialised bench or to add a plaque to an existing bench. Memorial benches could remember a loved one, a friend, or even a beloved pet.

Cost

The cost of the bench will be confirmed during the application process.
