Soapbox Theme At Next Community Networking Event

Building on the success of past events, Weymouth Town Council is inviting local community and voluntary groups to a networking opportunity on Thursday 3rd April. 

The event runs from 10.15am to 1pm at The New Town Hall, Commercial Road and is supporting Family Matters, a group who provide clothing and homewares for local families in need. 

Different groups can come together and strengthen contacts, whilst learning about what is going on in the community. After refreshments and time to network, there will be an introduction to Family Matters. Following this will be five-minute soapbox style presentations, allowing groups to raise awareness about their work. A light lunch will be provided to round off the event.     

Mayor of Weymouth, Cllr Jon Orrell said: “Weymouth Town Council’s Community Networking events are a great opportunity for local groups to come together, learn from each other, raise awareness and share resources. We hope you can come to the next one at The New Town Hall on Thursday 3rd April.”
