Temporary Traffic Management Notice, Lanehouse Rocks Road, Weymouth

Dorset Council has issued a Notice under Section 14 [2] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended. The Notice is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise likelihood of danger to highway users. The Notice comes in to operation on 22 October 2023 between 0900 and 1600 and will remain in force for 5 days, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 22 October 2023.
This Notice will enable Dorset Council to carry out essential tree maintenance works.
The effect of this Notice is as follows:
[1] To impose temporary road closure on Lanehouse Rocks Road between its junctions with Lynch Lane and Chickerell Road
[2] To impose temporary clearway on Lanehouse Rocks Road between its junctions with Lynch Lane and Chickerell Road to prevent vehicles stopping, other than those associated with the works.

Please note that any vehicle waiting in contravention of temporary parking restrictions may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. If a vehicle has been removed, the owner must contact the Council’s vehicle recovery contractor: Ashleywood Recovery Ltd/Bride Valley Recovery Ltd on 01305 889421.
There will be a locally signed diversion in place.
