Temporary Closure of Public Footpath 79, Weymouth

Dorset Council has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as
amended. All pedestrians will be prohibited from proceeding along Footpath 130, from grid reference SY
666 785 (point A on the map below) to grid reference SY 664 782 (Point B on the map below) a distance of approximately 336metres. The Notice is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.

It will come into operation on 24 August 2023 for a period of 26 weeks.
This closure is required to allow Betterment Properties to develop the land.
On this occasion there is no reasonable alternative route.
