Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Temporary Traffic Management Notice, Mill Lane & Bridge Inn Lane, Preston

Dorset Council has issued a Notice under Section 14 [2] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended. The Notice is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise likelihood of danger to highway users.
The Notice comes in to operation on 12 December 2023 between 0900 and 1600 and will remain in force for 5 days, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 12 December 2023.
This Notice will enable Dorset Council to carry out essential maintenance works.
The effect of this Notice is as follows:
[1] To impose temporary road closure on Mill Lane for its entirety
[2] To impose temporary road closure on Bridge Inn Lane for its entirety
[3] To impose temporary clearway on Mill Lane for its entirety to prevent vehicles stopping
[4] To impose temporary clearway on Bridge Inn Lane for its entirety to prevent vehicles stopping
Please note that any vehicle waiting in contravention of temporary parking restrictions may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. If a vehicle has been removed, the owner must contact the Council’s vehicle recovery contractor: Ashleywood Recovery Ltd/Bride Valley Recovery Ltd on 01305 889421.
