Emergency temporary closure of various public footpaths, Weymouth

Dorset Council has issued a Notice under Section 14 [2] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as
amended. All pedestrians, horse riders and cyclists will be prohibited from proceeding along Various
Footpaths, Weymouth as listed: [i] Footpath S1/92, from grid reference SY 660 783 (point A on the map
below) to grid reference SY 663 783 (Point B on the map below) a distance of approximately 300 metres; [ii] Footpath S1/130 from SY662537 Point D on the map below) to SY662557 (Point C on map below) a distance of approximately 30 metres. This Notice is needed to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come in to operation on the 3 May 2024 and will remain in force for 21 days. It is anticipated that a longer term Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will supersede the Notice.
