Mayor of Weymouth’s Christmas Fund appeal now open!
If you or your organisation can help the Mayor spread some Christmas joy in the town this year, Weymouth Town Council would love to hear from you.
With the support of Weymouth & Portland Lions Club, Cllr Ann Weaving, Mayor of Weymouth is on the lookout for organisations to donate to the annual Christmas Fund appeal.
Last year’s fund raised £700 which was shared between food banks, The Lantern Trust, the Salvation Army, Soul Food, Dorset Echo’s Toy Appeal, and the Veteran’s Hub.
Cllr Weaving said: “I’m launching my Christmas Fund appeal to help raise some vital funding to spread a little festive cheer and provide some extra support to people who might be struggling with the cost of living.
“The fund serves to meet the most critical needs of our communities and with your help will raise as much money as possible to improve people’s lives. If you can help, please consider making a donation.”
For more details on how to make a donation, please email mayor@weymouthtowncouncil.gov.uk
Cheques can be made payable to ‘The Mayor’s Christmas Fund’ and sent to:
Mayor’s Christmas Fund, Weymouth Town Council, Commercial Road, Weymouth, DT4 8NG.
