Fabulous Bank Holiday Fireworks Weymouth Bay Sunday 26th May – 9.45pm
Weymouth has a fabulous reputation for hosting a great range of events throughout the year. One of the most popular, attracting thousands to Weymouth Seafront, is the spectacular firework displays in Weymouth Bay.
The newly formed Weymouth Town Council is delighted to announce a Mayor’s Celebration Firework Display in Weymouth Bay on Sunday 26th May over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend.
Weymouth Town Council Clerk, Jane Biscombe said:
“We are delighted to announce the hosting of a fabulous seafront firework display over the Bank Holiday Weekend. The display will be hosted by the Weymouth Mayor and recognises the formation of the new Weymouth Town Council.”
The Spring Bank Holiday in Weymouth will be host to a number of great events including Fayre in the Square in Hope Square, Gig Racing in Weymouth Bay, Dorset Tour at Lodmoor Country Park, WW2 Family Fun Day at Nothe Fort and US Memorial Day Service on Weymouth Seafront.
Firework Competition
Weymouth Town Council, with partners Alexandra Gardens Pleasure Grounds, are delighted to welcome back the £500 Firework Competition at the seafront firework display on Sunday 26th May. Entry details can be found here.
All the fun of the fair
The Danter Fun Fair will be operating on Weymouth Seafront through the Spring Bank Holiday on the Weymouth Pavilion Forecourt from Saturday 25th May to Sunday 2nd June. On Sunday May 26th, the Fairground will be offering Mayor’s Celebration 2 for 1 Fairground tickets. Vouchers can be downloaded here.
New Weymouth Town Council Mayor
The first Weymouth Town Council Mayor will be announced on Tuesday 14th May. The Mayor will host the Firework evening on Weymouth Seafront on Sunday 26th May.
