Civic Day celebrations

Cllr Ann Weaving held a Civic Day on Wednesday 10th,May which was her last engagement as Mayor of Weymouth. The day consisted of Cllr Weaving showcasing Weymouth and what a wonderful town it is.
Other dignitaries from neighbouring councils joined her in Weymouth and visited Greenhill Gardens. Each year the outgoing Mayor chooses an organisation to award the Ken Issacs Rose Bowl to for their impressive work in the community. Ann presented the bowl to the Friends of Greenhill Gardens for all their hard work they’ve been doing on the floral clock!
The party also had a ride on the trishaws and the land train which is a popular tourist attraction in Weymouth!
