Application for future use of beach operations building

Weymouth Town Council are inviting proposals for the use of a room within the Beach Operations Building on Weymouth Beach for a community space that will offer social benefits to both residents and visitors and operate all year round.

Background

In Winter 2021 the Council conducted a survey with the intent of gaining feedback from the public on potential uses for this space. Following this exercise, the Council are looking for community groups to submit applications to use this space for a 2-year period; prioritisation will be given to social benefits over rental income when scoring any detailed proposals; along with proposals that will utilise the space all year round.
