DESCRIPTION:Our short season of summer evening concerts at All Saints\, featuring the church’s 1884 Henry Jones organ\, continues with a recital by organist Simon Clarkson. \nThe concert will include music by Stanford\, Parry\, and Coleridge-Taylor. \nBorn in Lancashire\, Simon Clarkson has pursued a varied career as a teacher\, soloist\, and accompanist on both the piano and organ. He is Head of Academic Music and Organist at Sherborne Girls School and regularly contributes to the weekly recital series in Sherborne Abbey\, as well as playing with several ensembles in the Southwest. When not performing\, teaching\, or examining music he is active as a composer and arranger – and has even been heard on Radio 3! \nThe concert starts at 7:30 pm. Entry £5 (children under 16 free).
