Weymouth Town Council is one of the newest and largest town councils in the country and as part of our commitment to providing excellent services for residents and visitors, we are wanting to recruit a Maintenance Officer.
The Maintenance Officer will undertake a range of repairs, decorating and maintenance duties around the town, with a focus on our seafront and public toilets.
The council provides a range of frontline services which includes the Promenade and beach, parks, public toilets, statues and memorials, lighting and water supplies throughout the town and the Maintenance Officer will play an important part in ensuring that our buildings and facilities our maintained to a high standard. The role will be varied and requires a broad range of building and property maintenance skills.
The council operates a flexi-time scheme and the postholder’s working hours can vary depending on demands and the time of year. The postholder will be expected to be flexible and any extra hours worked can be taken as leave at other times.
