Temporary closure of public footpath 74, Weymouth

Dorset Council has issued a Notice under Section 14 [2] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as
amended. All pedestrians will be prohibited from proceeding along footpath 74, from grid reference SY 658767 (point A on the map below) to grid reference SY 665 762 (Point B on the map below) a distance of
approximately 860 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It came into operation on the 13th August 2024 and will remain in force for a period of 21 days. It is anticipated that a longer term Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will supersede the Notice.
