Road Traffic Regulation Aat 1984, Temporary Speed Limit, A354 Weymouth Relief Road

Dorset Council has issued a Notice under Section 14  of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic [Temporary Restrictions] Act 1991. The Notice is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.
When this Notice comes into effect on 20 March 2023 between 0900 and 1530 until 21 March 2023, a temporary 30mph speed limit will be imposed upon A354 Weymouth Relief Road, Weymouth, between Jurassic roundabout to Came Down bridge, a distance of approximately 1500metres, at such times and to such extent as indicated by the traffic signs It is anticipated that the speed limit will remain in force for 5 days whilst Dorset Council carry out litter picking. The Notice will be in operation for a period of 5 days.
