Emergency Temporary Closure of Plaisters Lane, Sutton Poyntz

Dorset Council has issued a Notice under Section 14 [2] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Plaisters Lane, Sutton Poyntz between Old Bincombe Lane and Mission Hall Lane, a distance of approximately 160 metres. The Notice is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise likelihood of danger to highway users. It comes in to operation on 9th October 2021 and can remain in force for up to 21 days, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 20th October 2021.

This Notice will enable Wessex Water safe access to carry out emergency works to divert a sewer which is flooding a property The alternative route, which will be sign posted is as follows: Sutton Road – A353 – Littlemoor Road – Coombe Valley Road – Plaisters Lane
