Our programme caters for social sailing in Weymouth Bay\, training in all aspects through to competitive racing\, with two evenings and weekends throughout the year. For younger members aged 8-18. We offer a specialist programme of training\, racing and social sailing for our Youth and Cadets with weekly Friday evening sessions.\n* Additional information: Joining Weymouth Sailing Club is easy. SUMMARY:National Squib Championships
DESCRIPTION:History repeats itself as the Squib National Championships return to Weymouth this summer. The first ever Squib Class Championships took place in the Bay 43 years ago and Weymouth sailing club in partnership with We Are Weymouth is excited to welcome the class back once again (June 25th to June 30th)\, welcoming helms\, crew and families from around the UK and Ireland. \nThe racing can be viewed from vantage points such as Weymouth Harbour\, Weymouth beach and also from the Nothe Fort and gardens. \nRace times vary throughout the week and are dependant on the weather. But scheduled racing is from 11:30am

SUMMARY:National Squib Sailing Championship 2023
DESCRIPTION:The National Squib Sailing Championship will take place in Weymouth between the 25th and 30th of June 2023. \nThe event is hosted by Weymouth Sailing Club and will attract sailors from across the country and Ireland.  Some 60 boats\, each with a 2-person crew\, will be based in Weymouth Harbour during the Championship and racing will take place each day in Weymouth Bay\, weather permitting. \nThe Squib National Champions will be decided after the week-long series of races.  The mass of boats with their distinctive red sails will make an impressive sight as they sail in and out of the Harbour for each day’s racing.
