SUMMARY:Walking For Health
DESCRIPTION:There are two health walks in Weymouth which are mostly flat. \nThe route taken on the day is agreed at the beginning of the walk and is dependent on the ability and preference of those attending. \nAll abilities are welcome and the walk can stretch out to different paces. There is no pressure and no one is ever left behind as the pace of the walk is dictated by the rear walker.  Our walks last approximately 45 minutes. \nDogs on a discretionary basis\, please get in touch with the local contact before attending. \n  \n\n\n\nTown/village\nMeeting place\nType of walk\nDay\nTime\n\n\n\n\nWeymouth\nMeet between the Jubilee Clock and Prom Cafe at the advertising drum\nWe walk along the Promenade towards Greenhill Gardens (where there is an incline into the gardens) or the Stone Pier and return to the beginning.\nThursdays\n10:30am

SUMMARY:The Robbie McIntosh Band
DESCRIPTION:The legendary Robbie McIntosh Band is coming to The Bay Theatre at Weymouth College on Thursday 23rd May. \nGuitarist Robbie McIntosh has one of the highest musical pedigrees you’ll find anywhere on the planet and has legendary status among his fellow musicians! His career to date includes spells as guitarist with The Pretenders (with whom he played at Live Aid in 1985)\, Sir Paul McCartney\, Sir Tom Jones\, John Mayer and Norah Jones. \nHis brilliance across a range of music\, both on acoustic and electric guitar\, has made him one of the world’s most sought-after session guitarists\, playing on recordings by Tears For Fears\, Paul Young\, Roger Daltrey\, Mark Knopfler\, Norah Jones\, John Mayer\, Paul McCartney\, Cher\, George Martin\, Joe Cocker\, Daryl Hall\, Kirsty McColl\, Mike and the Mechanics\, Tori Amos and many more. He continues to tour and record with many of the most famous names in music. \nAs well as being a talented multi-instrumentalist\, Robbie is an accomplished a singer songwriter in his own right. \nHis band features Steve Smith (keyboards and vocals)\, Steve Wilson (bass and vocals)\, Pete Hope Evans (harmonicas)\, Paul Beavis (drums)\, Jody Linscott (percussion) and Hannah Robinson (guitars and vocals). Between them\, the band members have played with artists including: The Waterboys\, Andy Summers\, Go West\, Sir Elton John\, Santana\, The Who\, Robert Fripp\, Leo Sayer\, Rory Gallagher\, Lisa Stansfield\, Mark Knopfler\, Stevie Wonder\, Lana Del Ray\, Kylie Minogue and Jay Z. \nExpect a set of sophisticated blues influenced originals and cover versions from world class professionals that will bound to have you up dancing! \nThe Weymouth College Music students will present a complimentary set of cover versions and originals at this event. \nPlease note\, this event is standing with limited seating – please advise if a seat is required at time of booking.
