Weymouth Lunchtime Chamber Concerts – Penelope Roskell, piano

Weymouth Lunchtime Chamber Concerts (WLCC) is a delighted to welcome Penelope Roskell to Weymouth to launch the 2021/22 season of concerts.

Acclaimed concert pianist and pedagogue Penelope Roskell performs three much-loved works for piano spanning over 100 years, from the Baroque period to the Romantic era.

Penelope Roskell was brought up in Weymouth, and was fortunate to study piano with Elsie Monckton from an early age.  As a child she played regularly at Weymouth Arts Centre.  Since then, she has gone on to a stellar career as an international concert pianist, writer and Professor of Piano at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.  She made her professional debut aged nineteen in a tour with the Bournemouth Sinfonietta conducted by Simon Rattle.  Since then she has performed as soloist at major concert halls throughout Britain, including the Barbican Concert Hall (with the London Mozart Players, conducted by Daniel Harding), Wigmore Hall, Bridgewater Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall and Purcell Room.  She has also given recitals and concertos in over thirty countries in Western and Eastern Europe, the United States, Africa, Asia, and the Middle and Far East.

Junior Park Run – Lodmoor Country Park

Weekly Sunday morning 2k Park Run, 9am.  Free to join, register online.

Weymouth Libraries – Join regular fun events for the whole family at libraries in Weymouth, including story times, rhyme times, chatterbooks and more.  More information on the town’s libraries can be found here.

Radipole and Lodmoor RSPB Reserves – Walks and family fun days are held throughout the year.

Weymouth Football Club – catch up on all the big matches here.
